There was a time when I had no awareness about skincare (I’m being honest) but with time and aging, now I call myself a skincare advocate!

Having a skin care regimen is extremely important, but did you know there are certain tips best for daily routine? Here, I am sharing with you my own simple skin-care routine…

1. Invest in a good face cream

After a lot of research and reading about the best creams and moisturizers. I have come to the conclusion that investing in a good cream means investing in yourself. Carefully buy a really good product for your skin. Be generous to your skin. It’s the best investment ever!

2. Body moisturizer

Our body also needs moisturizer not just face. Dryer areas like feet, hands, knees, and elbows tend to lose moisture faster. Make sure to use a good moisturizer especially after a shower. Also, make sure to use before going to bed. For better results, wear gloves and socks in the winter.

3. Exfoliate

Dead skin cells can cause acne. Find a good exfoliating cleanser or mask and use it on your face, hands, and lips. Exfoliating body washes are also very helpful, especially in the winter.

4. Wash in lukewarm water

Wash your face with lukewarm water. Our skin is super sensitive to cold and hot water. Don’t be hard on your skin. Be gentle, be very soft. It’s your skin. It’s you!

5. DIY masks

Homemade dehydrating masks can be a heaven to your skin. Be natural with the skin. Let your skin indulge with the natural products. Use natural ingredients like mustard, almond oil, banana, yogurt, egg mask, honey. Mix it with milk or what you like, to create a paste. Leave on your skin for 10 to 20 minutes.

6. Eat and drink healthy

“You become what you eat”. Everyone knows this phrase. However, there is one more line (I just made it) “Your face becomes what you eat and drink”. In simple words, let the water become your friend and drink water as much as you can. Eat fruits and try to eat all seasonal fruits. Also, add more vegetables to your meals.
